- Accumulator
- A bet that combines multiple selections into one wager; all selections must win for you to get a payout.
- Asian Handicap
- A spread betting system that gives a virtual advantage or disadvantage to a team, eliminating the draw option.
- Bankroll Management
- The practice of setting a budget for betting and only risking a small percentage of that amount on each wager.
- Bet Builder
- An online feature that lets you create a custom bet by combining different markets from the same match.
- Cash Out
- A feature that allows you to settle your bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or cutting a loss.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes in a match, such as home win or draw.
- Edge
- The perceived advantage you have over the bookmaker’s odds in a particular wager.
- Evens
- A bet where the potential profit equals your stake, often shown as odds of 1/1.
- First Goalscorer
- A market where you predict which player will score the first goal in a match.
- Fold
- The number of selections in an accumulator; for example, a four‑fold includes four separate bets.
- Fractional Odds
- A way of expressing odds as a fraction, such as 5/2, which shows how much profit you make per unit staked.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- A bet that requires you to predict both the result at half‑time and the final result of a match.
- In-Play
- Betting on a match while it is still in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Lay Bet
- A bet that a specific outcome will not happen, commonly offered on betting exchanges.
- Line
- The set point spread, handicap, or total that a bookmaker uses for a particular betting market.
- Market

- Odds
